Android M may Include Native Fingerprint Authentication

Fingerprint scanning is something that is still new to Android, some devices have been using this feature but by softwares provided directly from the OEM. But rumors are in the air about its introduction in the next Android.

According to BuzzFeed and Ars Technica, Google may announce support for fingerprint scanner in Android M at I/O 2015 as a hardware feature i.e it may come along with the stock Android. Until now Galaxy S6 and S6 edge are among the devices which already have this feature and Nexus 6 was suppose to have it according to Motorola’s former CEO Dennis Woodside.

Touch ID is the same feature which Apple released with its new iphone and iOS so why should Android stay behind in this. But I/O 2015 is not far so we won’t have to wait for long to know if its coming or not (hoping it does).

Stay tuned for more.
