The 64-bit chipset are getting common in phone now a days and now in Hong Kong Electronics fair, MediaTek released two new 64-bit quad-core MediaTek chipsets for tablets named MT8163 and MT8735.
In specs area, MediaTek MT8163 chip comes with a 64-bit Cortex-A53 CPU, which supports display upto 1080p with 120Hz. And in the connectivity part, it comes with dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooh 4.0, FM radio, and GPS. The chip supports Android 5.1 Lollipop.
While, MediaTek MT8735 also comes with 64-bit support with Cortex-A53 architecture but seem to perform 20% faster than competitors. And comes with a larger support in connectivity area too with a 6-mode 4G LTE network, dual-band Wi-Fi network, Bluetooth 4.0, FM radio, and GPS/GLONASS/Beidou.
These chips should make way in the future tablets in the coming months and shouldn’t cost too much to end up in the high end devices.
