After a series of leaks, rumors and campaigns, OnePlus has officially released its new flagship device OnePlus 3T. Looks wise nothing has changed in OnePlus 3T, as it looks similar to OnePlus 3 but in this model you will have a new color option with ‘Gunmetal’.
However, there are some configurational changes inside the device as it is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 that is an upgrade to the one present in OnePlus 3 (it has SD820). Also, you now have two options in terms of storage capacity with 64 GB and 128 GB respectively, both of which are of UFS 2.0 kind.
When we take a look at its rear camera we did not notice any changes, it is same as that of OnePlus 3 except the sapphire crystal cover which should provide added protection from scratching. But it is the front camera where we noticed the boost in resolution. They included a 16MP front shooter which is Samsung made (3P8SP) compared to the OnePlus 3 which has 8MP Sony sensor. While there is no change in the aperture of the camera with f/2.0, tho its pixel size has reduced to 1.0 nm from 1.4 nm. The added pixels on the front shooter makes it shoot videos in 1080p at 30 fps and click selfie with phase/face detection autofocus.
Now the most important feature that will be satisfactory to many users mostly the power users which could not do with just the Dash charging is the introduction of 3,400 mAh cell which is 400 mAh more than its predecessor. Further, it is powered by OnePlus’s 20W Dash Charge that will help you juice the device up faster.
OnePlus 3T will be running on Android 6.0 Mashmallow proving the rumors wrong which were claiming 3T will come with Nougat preinstalled.
OnePlus 3T will be available to you in two colors variant: Gunmetal and Soft Gold starting Nov 22 in North America and from Nov 28 in other regions. You can buy 3T directly from the OnePlus online store which will cost you around $439 for the 64 GB ($40 more than OnePlus 3) and $479 for the 128 GB variant.
